Highbar - Pawtucket is located along the Seekonk River on Division Street in Pawtucket. As Highbar's largest clinic, it houses an Alter G Antigravity Treadmill, Rhode Island’s only Hydroworx aquatic therapy pool, many private treatment rooms, lots of open gym space, and an outdoor turf area. Our clinicians have a wide variety of specialties including sports rehabilitation, general conditioning, return to work programs, pediatrics, pelvic health, dry needling, and aquatics. This clinic also features several physical therapists who speak fluent Spanish. We encompass a diverse community of both patients and clinicians to create plans of care for patients that both fit their individual needs and make them feel comfortable with their treatment.
Meet the Team
Clinic Director: Dr. Mikaela Caracciolo PT, DPT
Dr. Mikaela Caracciolo PT, DPT has been the Clinic Director in Pawtucket since 2022. She is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics, post-stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson’s Disease, Multiple Sclerosis, neurological conditions, and balance and falls. She loves helping her patients get back to the activities they love and motivating them to achieve the goals they didn’t think were possible. Throughout her career, she has earned certifications in trigger point dry needling, rock taping, LSVT BIG therapy, and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization. In her free time, Mikaela enjoys practicing her photography skills, watching the Patriots and Red Sox, skiing, boxing, and playing softball.
Dr. Mara Hochman is an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Doctor of Physical Therapy who specializes in orthopedics as well as spinal and shoulder-related injuries or conditions. She is passionate about helping her patients get back to the activities they love to do while instilling a love of exercise along the way. She completed the Memorial Hermann Orthopedic Residency, where she was also a faculty member, and has earned certification in trigger point dry needling. Mara now serves as an adjunct faculty member for the Highbar Orthopedic Residency program.
In her free time, Mara enjoys being outdoors, traveling, and spending time with her husband, son, and dog. She has lived all over the country, from growing up in California to living in Texas, and now in Rhode Island.
