What is the Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist program?
Elevate your practice with a residency-style program that allows you the flexibility to complete it on your own timeline. We designed this program for the clinician who is seeking advanced post-professional education, but requires a more flexible schedule.
Highbar’s Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist Program is led by a staff of Board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists and consists of advanced post-graduate clinical and didactic education for physical therapists and physical therapist assistants.
Our program structure
- Flexibility to complete the program between 12 and 24 months
- Five courses that cover evidence-based assessment and treatment of several conditions
- Didactic portion of the program is 100% virtual and self-paced
- Multiple laboratory intensives on advanced examination and treatment techniques
- Written examination and capstone project
- Access to an OCS prep course

The Program
Designed for flexibility
Our Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist program is designed for the clinician who seeks post-professional education but is unable to commit to the structure and timeline of the Highbar Orthopedic Residency Program. Our combination of virtual and in-person teachings from Board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialists makes this program unique. Upon successful completion of the program, the participants will receive the designation of COMT and gain access to the OCS prep course.
